BYU Hawaii Career Services is committed to providing users with strong privacy practices regarding electronic personal information. Career Services uses NACELink by Symplicity to power YCareers and provide a web-based system for posting jobs, maintaining a resume database, registering and scheduling interviews for its job seekers and for the employers who recruit on campus. In addition, BYU Hawaii Career Services uses NACELink to power the career center management system that also includes scheduling appointments and recording notes for career advising.
Collection and access to student information is governed by campus and federal policy under the Federal Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) as well as the policies of Brigham Young University Hawaii. All of our users' information is considered confidential and its use is restricted to BYU Hawaii Career Center staff on an as-needed basis.
Data collected for job listings, resume storage, and on-campus interviewing services are stored on YCareers, provided by BYU Hawaii Career Services in partnership with the NACELink Network, a web-based recruiting system resulting from an alliance between the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE), a nonprofit professional organization for career centers and employers and Symplicity Corporation, an advanced technology provider for higher education and government. As a user of this site, I agree to the following:
- I agree to provide accurate and truthful information about my qualifications and educational background in my online profile, my resume, and any supplemental job-search documents I upload to the system. I authorize Career Services to release my resume to employers I have selected via YCareers and the On-Campus Recruiting program (OCR).
- I will keep my profile information up to date, including my current information, email address, and academic major and class year. I will use my CES Net ID and password to access YCareers.
- I am responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of my login information and password. I am responsible for all uses of my YCareers registration, whether or not used by me. If others use my password to access job listings or to post inappropriate material on the site, I risk losing my access to the site. I agree to notify Career Services immediately of any unauthorized use of my YCareers account.
- If participating in the On-Campus Recruiting (OCR), I agree to abide by all OCR policies and procedures.
BYU—Hawaii Career Services provides YCareers only for your employment search. Use of YCareers is a privilege for enrolled BYU Hawaii students. Career Services reserves the right to suspend or terminate this privilege at its sole discretion.
